Robin Singh's late equalizer rescued a point on the night for Delhi Dynamos in their match-up with Mumbai City FC on Friday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. The draw takes Delhi up to second in the points table, while the Blue Devils climb to fourth.

The home side produced one of their best performances, in recent times, in the first half as they took the game to Mumbai from the first whistle. But, Delhi failed to produce enough quality in the final third to sufficiently test Mumbai goalkeeper Subrata Paul.

In fact, it was Mumbai who came closest to scoring right at the end of the first half when Frederic Piquionne headed on a long ball for Sunil Chhhetri inside the box. But before the Indian captain could pull the trigger, Anas made a brave interception with his head and cleared the ball away.

Delhi would have been disappointed at failing to take the lead during the first half, as both the teams went into the break tied at 0-0.

Delhi had couple of good chances at the start of the second half, first with Remi testing the keeper with a long range effort. Within a minute, Seminlen Doungel managed to get behind the Mumbai right back, but his shot went straight to the goalkeeper.

In the 47th minute, Chhetri was picked out in the box by Cristian Bustos' long ball. The Indian striker chested the ball down on to his left foot, before dragging it back on to his right to fool the defender. However, his shot from a tight angle was brilliantly saved by Toni Doblas in the Delhi goal.

Six minutes later, Richard Gadze was fouled on the right wing by Lalchuan Mawia and Malouda took a pop at the goal from the resultant free kick. Subrata Paul, who was covering the near post, tipped the ball onto the post, before it went out of play.

Mumbai enjoyed a good spell after that event, and in the 69th minute, Piquionne provided them with the lead. The French striker was set through on goal by Selim Benachour and he took the ball around the goalkeeper before calmly slotting it home.

Just when the game looked over for Delhi, substitute Robin Singh performed the rescue act as he scored the equalizer with virtually the last kick of the game. Florent Malouda's freekick was headed on by Mumbai defender Lalchhuan Mawia, instead of clearing it, and the ball reached Robin Singh at the far post. The Indian international showed immaculate technique to volley it past Subrata Paul and win a point for the home side.
