ISL club Kerala Blasters has announced that Peter Taylor has departed from the club following a “mutual agreement” and assistant coach Trevor Morgan will take over as the interim-manager.

“Kerala Blasters announced that Peter Taylor has left the club with immediate effect following a mutual decision. Kerala Blasters thanks Peter for his efforts and contribution during the association. Trevor Morgan will presently assume the responsibilities of Kerala Blasters team,” read an official statement released on ISL's website.

The decision comes after a string of poor results for the Sachin Tendulkar owned side. Kerala Blasters, who reached the final of the inaugural campaign of the ISL, has struggled this season in the league. The Blasters are currently placed at the bottom of the league table with just four points in six matches.

On Tuesday, Kerala lost 2-3 in a closely fought match against FC Pune City, their fourth defeat in a row extending their win-less streak to five matches.

Former East Bengal manager Trevor Morgan, who has been the assistant manager at the club since the opening season, will be the interim-manager, till they sign a replacement for Taylor.
