Indian Super League franchise FC Goa have secured the signing of Indian striker Robin Singh for the third edition of the tournament. Robin Singh played for Delhi Dynamos in the 2015 ISL and has been out for almost seven months after suffering a knee injury during the SAFF Cup in January.

The 2015 ISL runners-up will start with a minus 15 points tally in the upcoming edition of the tournament following the ISL regulatory commission’s verdict on the 2015 ISL final fiasco. With their season a futile exercise, the franchise stepped away from signing any players for the edition. With the verdict on their appeal against the sanctions imposed by the ISL regulatory commission likely to come next week, the Goan franchise have finally moved up through the gears to secure a big signing in the form of Indian national team striker Robin Singh.

I am feeling motivated and hungry to start all over again. It's no secret that I had an ACL injury and I had to undergo an operation. But now I am raring to go."

The 26-year-old played for Delhi Dynamos in the last edition of the tournament and scored four goals to propel the team into the last four. However, he has spent the last six months on the injury table after suffering an ACL during the SAFF Cup in January. The strike said he is raring to go after the injury lay-off.

"I am feeling motivated and hungry to start all over again. It's no secret that I had an ACL injury and I had to undergo an operation. But now I am raring to go," said Robin, speaking exclusively to TOI.

"FC Goa has been a champion team. I wanted to broaden my horizon and with FC Goa coming into the picture, it naturally attracted me. I've always wanted to play in Goa for a season and when FC Goa offered me a chance, I grabbed it with both hands," added Robin.
