ATK bolster squad with signings of Pritam Kotal and Edu Garcia

After a decent finish to their first half of the season ATK look to come all guns blazing as they have already signed Spanish winger Edu Garcia and Indian veteran Pritam Kotal. After 12 games, ATK are sixth with 10 points with a four-point gap with fourth placed NorthEast United.

Two-time ISL Champions ATK strengthened their squad with two new additions Edu Garcia and Pritam Kotal as they look forward to a bright start in 2019.

The first signing of the transfer window is Edu Garcia. Edu a versatile player can play as a winger on both sides and is known for creating chances down the flanks. The winger who will be seen in ATK jersey, used to play for Zhejiang Greentown FC. He has also played for Bengaluru FC in the year 2017 as their midfielder and is familiar with the competition.

The second addition to the team is the Indian National Team right back, Pritam Kotal. The player joins the club from Delhi Dynamos FC and will bolster the back line with his defensive abilities. Pritam had earlier joined ATK on loan in 2016.

Speaking on the new additions to the squad our coach Steve Coppell stated, :

“The additions made to the squad are positive and we are quite excited to bring the new players on board. We hope that they can deliver and excite the fans through their performances on the pitch. We will begin training after the international break and assess how soon they can be integrated to our main squad. We look forward to a bright start in 2019.”
