Bengaluru FC’s owner Parth Jindal has offered to play a friendly match against Real Kashmir FC following the Pulwama terror attack and the Minerva Punjab FC controversy. Real Kashmir FC has replied to the tweet stating that they are glad to host the game in March before the start of the Super Cup.

Real Kashmir FC have been in a chaotic situation of late as the current unrest in the valley has prevented them to play host in the I-League matches. Minerva Punjab FC have already moved to court as they were forced to forfeit the game in Srinagar after their requested security assurance from the AIFF and the home team, which were turned down.

However, Real Kashmir have taken the Indian football by storm with their success story and they look to be in the title contention on their debut season in the league. And Bengaluru FC have taken a good initiative to offer them to play an exhibition match in their backyard.

“It’s very early as we are in the final stages of the I-League and they are also involved in the Indian Super League,” said Real Kashmir co-owner Shamim Mehraj. “But we can assure you that the match should happen in March before the scheduled start of the Super Cup,” reported the Indian Express.

Bengaluru FC’s owner Parth Jindal has stated that the club wanted to display their solidarity to the hosts and the fans for the recent events. He also added that the club has been hopeful that the hosts and the government would take the necessary measures to safeguard the visitors.

“We think that they (Real Kashmir) and the government will take enough steps to safeguard anybody who goes to Kashmir. That’s the job of the armed forces so I don’t have any doubts about that,” Jindal said. “In fact, I believe when Bengaluru does go they would amplify the security. So we feel quite comfortable about that. We have been wanting to play them for a while and have been in touch with them for quite some time. But obviously, I wanted to show my solidarity to them and their fans after the recent events,” he further added.
