Manchester United, currently 13th in the Premier League, is targeting four strikers, Liam Delap (12 goals in 30 games), Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres (44 goals), and Hugo Ekitike (19 goals). A controversial £10m post-season tour to Asia is also confirmed. Meanwhile, Paul Scholes expresses regret over frequent criticism of his former club.

With the Europa League now Manchester United’s most realistic route to Champions League qualification, attention is also shifting toward a crucial summer rebuild. Currently sitting 13th in the Premier League, Ruben Amorim’s side must overcome Lyon in the quarter-finals to stay on track for European success. Meanwhile, preparations for the transfer window are underway, with a four-man striker shortlist emerging.

Top of the list is 22-year-old Liam Delap, who has netted 12 goals in 30 Premier League matches for Ipswich Town. Delap could become available for £40 million if Ipswich face relegation. Also on United’s radar are Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres, and Hugo Ekitike, the latter two have 44 and 19 goals respectively this season.

In a financial push, the club has confirmed a post-season tour of Hong Kong and Malaysia starting May 28, expected to generate £10 million. While beneficial for revenue, it has sparked controversy over player burnout and environmental concerns. Club co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe insists such moves are essential to financial stability.

Additionally, club legend Paul Scholes voiced frustration about constantly criticizing United, admitting it makes him feel like a villain due to the club’s underwhelming performances since he began punditry.
