Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha expressed anger at Marcus Rashford, despite his fine form at Barcelona with 5 goals and 7 assists this season. Saha said Rashford lacked effort and accountability at United, claiming he appeared unhappy and unmotivated. While pleased with his revival in Spain, Saha remains frustrated as a United supporter.

As the spotlight shifts to Marcus Rashford’s resurgence at Barcelona, former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has expressed frustration over the forward’s turnaround story. Rashford, who left Old Trafford this summer on a season-long loan to the Spanish giants, has been in fine form with five goals and seven assists so far, including an assist in Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in El Clasico.

Despite acknowledging Rashford’s immense talent, Saha criticised the narrative suggesting Manchester United were to blame for his previous struggles. Saha argued that top professionals must find ways to perform regardless of managerial or club challenges, saying Rashford at times appeared uninterested and lacked effort during his final months at United. The Frenchman admitted he was “angry” seeing the forward thrive elsewhere after showing poor commitment at Old Trafford.

Still, Saha said he is pleased to see Rashford rediscover his joy and confidence at Barcelona, calling him “a terrific player” admired by fans worldwide. However, as a devoted Manchester United supporter, Saha confessed his disappointment that Rashford’s best form is now benefitting another club rather than the team where he made his name.
