Left-hander Shikhar Dhawan, returning from an injury lay-off, will look to prove his fitness when India A take on Bangladesh A in a three-day game starting in Bengaluru on Sunday

Dhawan injured his right hand while fielding during the opening Test on the Sri Lanka tour in August that ruled him out of the remainder of the series. It was the same hand that he had hurt during nets in Brisbane late last year.

The pugnacious opener from Delhi, who is leading India A in this match, had been picked in the one-day squads for the series against South Africa starting next week without a clear fitness assessment.

India A won the preceding three-match unofficial One Day International series 2-1.
