Kings XI Punjab’s three home matches, which were scheduled to be held at Nagpur, will now be played at the HPCA stadium in Dharamsala. The decision from the franchise comes after the Bombay High Court ruling to shift all IPL matches scheduled in the month of May out of drought-hit Maharashtra.

Kings XI Punjab, who are languishing at the bottom of the IPL table after just one win from four matches, were scheduled to play Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Nagpur between May 7 and 15. However, the Bombay High Court’s ruling to shift all IPL matches in the month of May out of Maharashtra has made the franchise chose Dharmasala as the alternative venue.

Dharmasala has hosted Kings XI Punjab’s matches in the previous editions of the IPL and was also in the news recently after the stadium lost the hosting rights of the much-anticipated match between India and Pakistan during the World T20 due to security concerns.

After the Bombay High Court’s order, Mumbai Indians have opted for Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium as their new home venue, while Rising Pune Supergiants have opted for Vishakhapatnam.
