India started off the day very well thanks to some good bowling by its pacers, but they soon lost the plot to Adil Rashid and debutant Liam Dawson who patiently took the day away from India. The Twitterati though reacted to the surprisingly good performances from Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav.

England started the day at 284/4, even though Indian bowlers took quick wickets in the morning, Rashid and Dawson made things worse for India with some brilliant batting. In reply, India ended the day at 60/0 playing out 20 overs in the final session of the day. Brief scores: England 477 (Moeen Ali 146, Joe Root 88, Liam Dawson 66*, Ravindra Jadeja 106/3) lead India 60/0 (Rahul 30, Parthiv 28) by 417 runs

Horrible performance!

For the third time in the series!

One of the rare matches, where he has clicked and Ashwin has failed!
