Virat Kohli likely to become HRD ministry's face in massive anti-ragging campaign

According to a report by the Hindustan Times, the Union HRD ministry is planning a massive campaign against ragging, which will also feature a poster drive against the menace in educational institutions ahead of the new academic year. “Show your swagger, don’t be a ragger” and “You wanna kill your career? Then go ahead, pull the trigger” – read the anti-ragging posters designed by the ministry, reported Hindustan Times.

Kohli is likely to feature in the television campaigns and the posters, which will be distributed among the institutions. According to the report, approximately 1.5 lakh such posters are being printed for the campaign.

“The need to create awareness and make an anti-ragging environment within educational institutions will always remain. Students should be encouraged to report cases of ragging. Our campaign will create awareness among students, parents and administrators,” said Inder Mohan Kapahy, member of UGC.

The ministry has reportedly asked the University Grants Commission to come up with posters, jingles, commercials, and short films, which will be shown in universities. A mobile app and a helpline number are also being planned for the campaign.
