Pakistan have slipped two places to land at fifth position in the ICC Test Rankings after suffering a humiliating 3-0 series loss to Australia. With their sixth consecutive Test defeat, Pakistan have lost five points to end up with 97, just one point ahead of New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

Australia secured a comprehensive 220-run victory over Pakistan in the third Test at the SCG to inflict a clean sweep on the visitors. Pakistan were bowled out shortly before tea for 244 and in doing so were whitewashed by the Aussies. This has, inturn, resulted in their downfall in the ICC rankings.

Pakistan had secured the numero Uno position in ICC Test rankings last year after securing a 2-2 draw in England during a four-match series in July-August. But their subsequent dismal display in the series against West Indies and Australia has resulted in Pakistan's dramatic fall in the Test rankings.

With the series victory, Australia have consolidated their second position in the Test rankings, gaining four points and moving up to 109 points. Australia are now 11 points behind top-placed India, who continue their dominance in the longest format of the game after their comprehensive 4-0 win over England.

The South Africans come in next with 102 points against their name and could close the gap on Australia if they whitewash Sri Lanka in the 3-match series that they already lead 2-0. After their disastrous tour of India, England can consider themselves to be lucky to be above Pakistan on the table.

New Zealand (96), Sri Lanka (96), West Indies (69), Bangladesh(65), and Zimbabwe (5) complete the top ten in the Test rankings.
