Former CoA member Ramachandra Guha has said that Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan are being subject to public humiliation by the manner in which their appointment as consultants has been put on hold. Guha further added that both Dravid and Zaheer deserve to be treated in a much better way.

Although the BCCI had appointed the Cricket Advisory Committee comprising three stalwarts - Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman to lend their insights to the game, they haven't paid heed to their opinion.

After the appointment of Ravi Shastri as the head coach of the Indian cricket team on Tuesday, the CAC suggested Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan as batting and bowling consultants respectively, with the former particularly for overseas tours. However, it has been reported that Shastri prefers former Indian bowling coach and his longtime confidante Bharat Arun as the bowling coach this time as well and this has resulted in the BCCI putting Kahn’s appointment on hold.

Following this incident, Guha blasted the way both Dravid and Zaheer Khan have been treated in the given situation. Guha made known his dismay at the situation with the following Tweet:

He then followed it up with another tweet stating:

Guha had resigned from the CoA earlier in June after lambasting the "superstar culture" in Indian cricket, while also hitting out at former players on 'conflict of interest' issues.
