WATCH | MS Dhoni unleashes his monstrous self to hit three huge sixes
MS Dhoni's brutal approach towards the ball while hitting sixes is well-documented and Rajkot’s crowd got the opportunity to witness his monstrous hits yesterday. Dhoni, during his 37-ball stay, hit three heavy sixes to remind people the 'dangerous Dhoni' that they had come to fall in love with.
Colin Munro’s unbeaten 109 runs ensured a win for the visitors and they easily handed a 40-run loss to Team India in Rajkot. With this win, the black caps kept their chances of winning the series alive, but during the course of the match, the crowd got the chance to enjoy Dhoni’s brutal best.
The former Indian skipper hit first of his three sixes off the second ball of the 14th over which was bowled by Ish Sodhi. He came out of the crease and launched the leg break on middle and leg over the long-on fence. The second one came in the 16th over and once again he targeted Sodhi. When Sodhi delivered a short ball, an alerted Dhoni came down in a flash and sent it over deep mid-wicket.
The highlight shot of the game came in the last over of the innings which was delivered by left-arm pacer Trent Boult. It was a length ball from around the wicket and Dhoni got under it to heave it into the crowd.
