The BCCI has announced the dates and venues of Sri Lanka’s tour of India that takes place in November-December and features three Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is. The Lankans would hope for an improved display this time after getting drubbed 9-0 by India across all formats at home recently.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for Sri Lanka's tour of India on Tuesday, which starts later next month. The tour will kick off on November 16 and will consist of three Tests, three one-day games and three Twenty20 Internationals.

The Island nation is scheduled to play a three-day warm-up match before the first Test in Kolkata. It will be followed by Test matches in Nagpur and Delhi. Nagpur was criticized and poorly rated by ICC during South Africa’s visit in 2015, but the surface has since then re-laid and the 5 ODI between India and Australia played out quite well.

The three Tests will be followed by the One-Day International series that begins on December 10 in Dharmasala. It will be followed by games in Mohali (December 13) and Vizag (December 17). The T20Is will be played in the last week of December in alternate days, a schedule that forced India to delay their South Africa tour.

It will start on December 20 in Cuttack, which will be followed by games in Indore (December 22) and Mumbai (December 24). Thiruvananthapuram was supposed to hold the first T20I against Sri Lanka previously but has now swapped places with Cuttack. It will now host a T20I against New Zealand early next month, on November 7.

Sri Lanka would definitely eye a revenge following India’s domineering 9-0 win against them at their home earlier this year. The Island nation has since come back to winning ways with an emphatic victory over Pakistan and are expected to sort things out before they take on India in their backyard.

Test series:

1st Test - November 16-20, Kolkata

2nd Test - November 24-28, Nagpur

3rd Test - December 2-6, Delhi

ODI series:

1st ODI - December 10, Dharmasala

2nd ODI - December 13, Mohali

3rd ODI - December 17, Vizag

Twenty20 Internationals:

1st T20I - December 20, Cuttack

2nd T20I - December 22, Indore

3rd T20I - December 24, Mumbai
