Jasprit Bumrah has stated that while playing in a Test format, you have to focus on being consistent in your endeavours and accordingly, he was just trying to bowl good lines and lengths in the game. On the fourth day of the Test in Nottingham, Bumrah achieved his second five-wicket haul.

Bumrah took five wickets for 85 in the 29 overs in the third Test against England at Nottingham on day 4. His achievement was a significant support to the Indian squad as Ishant Sharma snatched two wickets. His performance was just an indicator of what India was missing in the first two Tests against the hosts. Bumrah mentioned that he was constantly working on his fitness and game even when he was healing from a thumb injury he suffered.

“In Test cricket, it’s all about patience and consistency, so that was my main focus today. You can’t blast the batsman out, I was looking to bowl good lines and lengths. In the end, it was a good day,” Jasprit Bumrah told IANS.

“When I was injured, I was working on my fitness, my training schedule, I was always in touch with our trainers, because I wanted to be in a good space as far as fitness is concerned when I made my comeback. All of that helps today,” he said.

The Indian team is on the verge of winning their first Test of the tour as they have only one wicket standing between them and the victory. Having 521 runs to chase, England has reached 311 for 9 wickets. Though Jos Buttler made an excellent century for his national side, England is one wicket away from losing the third Test to India.
