The second game of the day in the ongoing KPL between last year’s runners-up Bijapur Bulls and table toppers Bengaluru Blasters was washed out because of the wet outfield at the KSCA Ground in Hubli. Both the teams shared one point each in the game, with rain threat hovering for tomorrow's game.

After a loss in the first game and sharing points in their second one, the Bharath Chipli-led side were looking forward to this game to register their first victory in the tournament against a strong Blasters unit. Cricket lovers of Hubli also missed out on an entertaining game involving many top players of the state and this was the third consecutive game in the league and at this venue to be called off.

All the good work done by the groundstaff in getting the venue ready went in-vain as rain returned at around 20:20 and the game was eventually called off. They tried super soppers, some kind of a suction pump etc to dry out the water from the ground.

Earlier, the match between Hubli Tigers and Bellary Tuskers was also called off due to rain in Hubli. The Bulls will play their next game against Mysuru Warriors at this particular venue on Friday.
