Sachin Tendulkar picked as T20 Mumbai League's brand ambassador

Sachin Tendulkar has been made T20 Mumbai League's brand ambassador which is scheduled to be started from next month between six teams. Appreciating the idea of the T20 league, the Indian cricket legend stated that it will provide a great platform for the young talented players.

The organisers of Twenty-20 Mumbai League announced the involvement of Tendulkar in the event as the league's ambassador. The inaugural event would be organised by Sports India Pvt Ltd, a consortium of IIFL Group as Lead Member and Wizcraft. The event also got an approval and sanction of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

"It's always a pleasure to be associated with the Mumbai Cricket Association. The T20 Mumbai League will not only entertain cricket fans but also provide a great platform to the talented young cricketers in Mumbai," Tendulkar said in a media release quoted by PTI.

In the first season of the league, six teams will participate which will be from Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central and Mumbai South and the tournament is scheduled to start on March 28.

"We are delighted and privileged to welcome Sachin Tendulkar on board as the League Ambassador of the T20 Mumbai League. His unmatched popularity and vast knowledge of the game will play an integral part in motivating players of the league," said Kadar Makani, CEO, Probability Sports.
