BCCI have been reportedly been keen on helping Mohammed Shami to be available for the selection for the 15-member Indian Test Squad against England. Tangled in his personal issues, it still remains to be seen if Shami would be able to solely focus on his cricket career leaving behind everything.

After the clearance of the Yo-yo test, it has been quite obvious that Indian pacer Mohammed Shami would be available for the 15-member Test Squad selection that will be clashing with England starting early August. And with Jasprit Bumrah likely to to be out of contention, BCCI has reportedly solely been focusing on conditioning his return to the game, given the skill and experience he could bring to the side.

Of late, Shami has been completed invested in dealing with his personal issues concerning his wife Hasin Jahan, and the only question that team management is facing right now is if he would be capable of avoiding all of it in time to focus on his career. However, Shami has realized his priorities now taking help of the management to get back on the right track.

“He's very clear in his mind that he's going to put his heart and soul into not just sorting out his personal life but also making sure he meets all demands required of international cricket. Given the bowler he is, there's a lot he is capable of going forward,” a member of Indian team management told TOI.

Between the legalities involved with his wife, Shami clearing his yo-yo test and his wife announcing her return to her modelling career happened on the same day. BCCI is also attempting to handle the legal concerns of the player with his wife by setting up a machinery in BCCI. They want the issues settled peacefully for both the parties.

“We'll try and see wherever we can help him. It's important from his career point of view and even from a team perspective because there's so much he brings to Indian cricket,” mentioned the team management.

“Bowlers will have to be constantly rotated. With Ishant, Bhuvi, and others in the ranks, someone with the experience and talent of Shami rounds it off perfectly. We all know, now it's not about his fitness. It's about his life outside of cricket. Let's see what can be done to help him sort that out,” the management added further.
