CoA lists payments made by BCCI to state associations

The Supreme Court appointed CoA has listed the payments made from BCCI to 26 full members and 11 affiliated members of the cricket board, extending over a period of 2012-17. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has received RS 223.33 cr between 2012 and 2017, while the Maharashtra Cricket Association have received Rs 259.74 cr over the same period.

The Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) has gained 220.35 cr in that time period, and the association has already implemented the Lodha reforms which are yet to receive the final order from the Apex court. BCCI members have perceived this act as 'mere showboating’ by the CoA led by ex-CAG Vinod Rai.

“All accounts are audited every year. They know it very well. This is only to create drama. If CoA actually wants to mention payments, why don't they make public how much of BCCI’s money has been mindlessly blown away to pay for legal firms hired by them (CoA),” said BCCI members.

The state associations are of the opinion that CoA gestures are ways of stimulating the issue involving BCCI in the supreme. The judgment on the whole matter is yet to be written, hence, according to them the CoA is trying to stir up some drama.
