MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings are as inseparable as it can ever get and none defines the two-time winners the way Dhoni does. And while his comeback has made Chennai fans crazy, he is not leaving any stones unturned and hit two back-to-back sixes in the nets yesterday, albeit against net bowlers.

Since the inception of the Indian Premier League, MS Dhoni has been adopted by people of Chennai as their own and when the franchise was banned for two years owing to the spot-fixing scandal, Dhoni was forced to move to another team - Rising  Pune Supergiant. However, his heart was never there with everyone back home waiting for their "Thala" with baited breath. And with the IPL being just two weeks away, the Chennai-based franchise have started their preparations in full swing.

With the team hitting the nets yesterday for the first time this year, MS Dhoni, for obvious reasons, was the star attraction and fans in large numbers gathered at the Chepauk arena to watch him play those lovely lofty shots. And Dhoni didn’t disappoint them either, as he took on two net bowlers and played powerful bottom-handed shots to perfection.

His body and bat were at the right spot to take on the bowler and he used the experience of playing the short-arm jabs over cow corner, much to the delight of the fans present at the stadium. But, the die-hard fans would also expect the similar execution from their skipper during the IPL, whose power-hitting has dwindled drastically over the years and it remains to be seen how much effect he could bring to the team as far as batting is concerned.
