After tendering apologies to BCCI, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul have recorded their statements before the CEO Rahul Johri over the controversial comments made by the duo in chat show “Koffee with Karan”. BCCI had issued fresh show cause notice to the players after the comments drew a lot of flak.

Ever since the “Koffee with Karan” episode involving Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul has aired, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding this. Pandya had made a few misogynistic comments on the show which is hosted by Bollywood producer and director Karan Johar. Pandya and Rahul spoke about hooking up with multiple women which created a huge uproar in social media.

As per PTI reports, the duo has spoken to CEO Johri over the phone after tendering unconditional apologies in response to the fresh show cause notice given by the board.

“The CEO spoke to them via telephone. However, his brief was simple as the inquiry initiator. He has to just collate whatever they have written in their show cause reply. He is expected to submit his report to CoA by tomorrow,” a BCCI official told PTI.

“Any investigative question is the purview of the ombudsman. Now the next phase will only happen if the SC appoints an ombudsman or an ad-hoc ombudsman is appointed.”
