Ishant Sharma reckons the entire bowling unit adjusted to playing Test cricket under lights with the pink ball very well in Kolkata. Courtesy Ishant’s nine-wicket haul in the match, India registered their fourth consecutive innings victory, sealing the series against Bangladesh 2-0.

Player of the Match for his figures of nine for 78 and Player of the series for a total of 12 wickets in, Ishant has had a wonderful series. But it wasn’t a one-man show. It was Mohammad Shami who led the way in Indore, with Ishant and Umesh Yadav to support, while Umesh himself led the wickets tally, with a five-for, in the second innings in Kolkata.

“We enjoy each others' success as fast bowlers. When we started it didn't swing and last night it swung and we adjusted to the conditions very well. I'm just hitting the right areas and sticking to my plans,” Ishant said at the post-match presentation, reported Cricbuzz.

The 2.0 version of the 31-year-old has been marked by a fuller length and troubling lines. But recently, Ishant, along with Shami and Umesh, has started using a leg-cutter when the ball doesn’t offer much assistance.

“We developed that in the last game (the leg-cutting ball going away from the right-hander from round the wicket) and we had chats with the bowling coach and batting coach who thought it was a fluke, but I bowled that ball deliberately and I did the same this game,” Ishant added.
