The Committee of Administrators (CoA) has debarred Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, Haryana Cricket Association and the Maharashtra Cricket Association from participating in the upcoming BCCI Annual General meeting and election. The BCCI AGM and election were set to take place on October 23.

On Wednesday, October 9, CoA communicated to Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA), and Haryana Cricket Association (HCA) that they were debarred from participating in the upcoming BCCI Annual General Meeting and Election. The CoA has informed that the reason for debarring the associations is their respective constitutions not being in line with the Supreme Court-approved constitution.

Earlier, the CoA had stated privately that there were inconsistencies in the constitution that the three associations had registered with the Tamil Nadu Registrar of Societies. With the final electoral list set to be released on Thursday, R Ramasammy, TNCA secretary, said that the association will consider the option of going to court should they not feature in the final list.

"We have received that communication from CoA, with the electoral officer marked on it. Tomorrow is the final day for the officer to make the list. If we don't figure in that list, we will examine the option of going to court," said Ramasammy, reported Cricbuzz.

R Ramasammy, Mrinal Ojha and Riyaz Bagban were originally nominated from TNCA, HCA and MCA respectively to be a part of BCCI's AGM.
