Ashes 2019 | Two Australian fans made to leave Old Trafford for abusing Jofra Archer

According to the Daily Telegraph, the pair, who were waiting below the England team dressing room, are alleged to have shouted: "Jofra, show us your passport" among other things. It is understood that the other spectators standing near the pair of Aussies had complained to stewards but, as the abuse escalated, they took things up with the police in the premise.

This resulted in the two men being asked to leave the ground immediately. A Lancashire spokesman confirmed the truth of the incident and reaffirmed the values of the club, which includes a zero-tolerance policy on abusive behaviour.

Archer has been getting some slack from certain media groups as well about his origins. Although the 24-year-old was born in Barbados, he has long had a UK passport courtesy of his British father, Frank Archer. Frank was born in Catford and was a driver in the London underground before retiring to Liverpool.

"Jofra has been coming here since he was two-years-old so you've got to ignore that stuff in the press about how he's just popped up from nowhere," Frank told the Cricket Paper.
