Judgement on Rahul Dravid’s conflict case to be announced soon, says DK Jain

Former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid was given a chance to put forward his stance in the conflict of interest case against him in his deposition on Friday. BCCI ombudsman DK Jain heard the NCA head’s explanations for more than an hour before issuing a statement on the matter.

"We will give the order on Rahul Dravid's hearing in a few days time," said Jain while speaking to ANI, reported Times Now.

The legendary figure has in the past served as the India U-19 and India ‘A’ head coach, before being named as the NCA head and is now responsible for developing India’s young cricketing talent. However,  a case has been made that he also serves as the India Cements vice-president, which might be in violation of the ‘one person one role’ policy as propagated by the Lodha panel and accepted by the CoA.

"I cannot say what is convincing, though I have to consider the submission both sides made during their submission,” Jain added.

Indore resident Sanjeev Gupta, a Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association's (MPCA) life member, had initially filed the complaint against not only Dravid but also the likes of Ganguly and Tendulkar. Dravid has been an employee of the company for 25 years now and has been heavily involved with helping the young colts, having given up lucrative IPL deals in the past for the same.
