What’s better than watching AB de Villiers bat with live cricket back after three months of absence? None so whatsoever, as de Villiers was back at his best with some gobsmacking shots en route to his fifty and did not shy away soon after scoring 61 runs off just 24 deliveries in the 3TC.

All eyes were on  AB de Villiers when Cricket South Africa announced the return of the sport in the country with the 3TC. However, the 36-year-old’s return started off on the wrong foot when he picked up the ball that read No.3, which meant de Villiers and his team had to wait before they could free their arms. When the moment did arrive, he was caught struggling against Thando Ntini. However, that was just the start of de Villiers’ stay at the crease before he teed in the second attempt.

In the second innings, the Proteas star smacked off the left-arm spin of John-John Smuts, who gave away 16 runs in his over against de Villiers. South African star bowler Anrich Nortje did not get a glimpse of the ball as the RCB star continued to plummet the ball all over the ground, with his power hitting, reaching fifty off just 21 deliveries. However, the fun had to come to a close, with de Villiers getting out for a 24-ball 61.
