Aakash Chopra is of the opinion that Mukesh Choudhary is an excellent new baller bowler and was bowling really well in the IPL 2022. Chopra further added that MS Dhoni played a crucial role in his preparation to bowl in death overs by handing him the responsibility bowl at the back end of innings.

Chennai Super Kings suffered a poor run of form in the IPL 2022 and it was a complete nightmare for them. The team ended up at the second-last position in the points table with just four victories from 14 matches. Chahar had suffered a hamstring injury earlier this year and was expected to join CSK in the business end of the tournament but a back injury at NCA ruled him out.

However, Mukesh Choudhary was given an opportunity to play in Chahar’s absence. He scalped 16 wickets in the tournament for CSK playing a crucial role with the new ball. Aakash Chopra believes that Mukesh did a fantastic job while bowling in the powerplay.

"If anyone bowls the best with the new ball, I feel it is Mukesh Choudhary. We saw him bowling at the death also where he used the natural angle of taking it across, which all left-armers do. Captain Dhoni slowly-slowly got him to bowl at the death as well,” Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

MS Dhoni bowled him in death overs in a few matches. Mukesh picked a couple of wickets in death overs in the IPL 2022. Chopra said that Dhoni played a role in preparing the youngster to bowl in death overs.

"This is captain Dhoni's plan - he first gets you to bowl more with the new ball and then prepares you slowly, then finishes you in the 14th or 15th over and then gives you the 19th or 20th over as well. He stood out in every challenge," he said.
