Appreciation is a necessity to motivate someone to do better in one’s respective realms. Fast bowler Alzarri Joseph didn’t hesitate to laud the brilliant endeavor from Roston Chase that helped his team gain a crucial wicket in match 17 of the ensuing Caribbean Premier League in Gros Islet.

Eyeing to improve their standing in the points table, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons won the toss and elected to field first. Following a brief opening stand between Johnson Charles and Faf du Plessis, Ackeem Auguste’s 35 and David Wiese’s 43 helped steer them to 152 runs total in the first innings. In reply, the Falcons top and middle order struggled against quality spin with the score reading 88/6 by the 16th over. A well-going Chris Green tried his best to chase the total but an incredible catch from Roston Chase meant the departure of his partner.

As the Falcons needed 43 runs to win from a couple of overs, Joseph was summoned into the attack. The lanky pacer came over the wicket and dished a fuller ball in the slot outside the stumps. But Fabien Allen failed to time the slice at it and got the top-edge flying towards deep backward point region. Chase from the deep sprinted towards the ball and leaped in front with a full-fledged dive to grasp the ball firmly. Realising that he earned a wicket due to the outstanding athleticism of Chase, Joseph was dazzled and lauded the all-rounder for his incredible fielding. The Twitterverse too had their hands on their head and appreciated Chase’s acrobatics.

Chase is Chasing!
