IND vs SA | Twitter stunned as Dube needs no warm-up to sound Bosch the death rattle with scorcher

Nothing tugs at the heart strings of a sports fan like a dreamy Phoenix story, with Shivam Dube exhibit A. After being tagged as a batter for most of his India return, the Chennai Super Kings talisman has re-established himself as an all-rounder, made further evident through a jaffa in Dharamsala.

India jolted South Africa early in the third T20I, at Dharamsala on Sunday, after winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Harshit Rana struck twice with the new ball to follow-up Arshdeep Singh's first over scalp as the tourists found themselves reeling at 30/4 soon after the powerplay's end. The onus thus fell on Aiden Markram and Corbin Bosch to stabilize proceedings with a substantial partnership, the timing ripe with India's sixth bowling option Shivam Dube coming on to bowl at the halfway stage. Little could they have expected what the 32-year-old had in store for them.

Bosch had faced just eight deliveries, managing four runs in the process, when he found himself on strike against Dube. The all-rounder trundled in from over the stumps and pitched a ball on length in line with the middle stumo, seeing which his counterpart shifted his weight onto the backfoot. However, the Kookaburra deviated an entire degree after pitching, with a slight hint of devilish hint to complete bamboozle Bosch holding his bat aloft. The white rock cramped him from room all hands up and crashed into the top of leg stump, leaving the Proteas bent over and outplayed.

Dube was ecstatic, as was Twitterati with South Africa finding themselves a mountain to climb.

Bowled!

Csk!

Yeah!

Brilliant!

Shivam dube!

On fire!

Yes!

🔥

Boom!

Golden arm!
