The financial results of each and every IPL franchise have now been revealed for the Business year 2025. It also reveals the profits made by each team in the last season, and how much revenue they generated. Chennai Super Kings led the charts when it came to profits, as the team bagged a profit of 148 crore rupees.

Rajasthan Royals stood just behind them in this list with a profit of 146 crore. And at the fourth spot, Kolkata Knight Riders were present with a profit of 135 crore. KKR also received the highest revenue among all the other teams, as the team bagged a revenue of 756 crore, being the only team to cross the 700 crore mark.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the winners of the tournament, bagged a profit of 140 crore. And Mumbai Indians, another powerhouse of IPL, made a profit of just 85 crore in the last season. Only two teams, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans incurred losses, which were 72 and 195 crores respectively.

Our Take

The finances of the IPL teams in business year 2025 are majorly dominated by the teams which didn't make it to the playoffs last season. CSK and RR finished at the bottom of the table, and KKR stood at the lower ranks too. Despite that, these teams were able to do well in their finances, which has helped them to secure a massive profit from the previous business year.
