Pakistan Revamp Coaching Setup with New Test Appointments
Pakistan cricket team has made some changes to its coaching staff for the Test format. Sarfaraz Ahmed, former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has now been announced as the Head Coach.
Pakistan cricket team has gone through some changes in the Test format. These changes are not the ones related to the players, it has been for the coaching staff. Looking at the team's performances in red ball cricket lately, it was necessary for the PCB to come out with some changes.
Sarfaraz Ahmed has now been announced as the new Head Coach of the team. He has also led Pakistan for several years across all three formats, and even helped the team to win the Champions Trophy 2017. He replaces Mike Hesson, who was the previous Head Coach for the team in this format.
Along with that, two changes have also been made to the coaching staff in the Test format. Umar Gul, former Pakistani bowler, has now joined the team as a bowling coach, adding his experience to the line-up. Asad Shafiq, another experienced Pakistani batsman, has now joined the team as the batting coach in this format.

The changes made by the Pakistan cricket team to their coaching staff in the Test format are being appreciated. The board decided to go with their former players, which will improve the team synergy and add more to the experience. Along with that, it has also provided players such as Sarfaraz Ahmed, Umar Gul, and Asad Shafiq, to reunite with the team, since they have been retired for a while. Currently Pakistan stands 5th in the WTC standings with a win and a loss in 2 games.
