Riyan Parag Escapes Suspension Following Dressing Room Incident

Riyan Parag found himself in the headlines once again in the IPL 2026. But this time it was not due to his form or his captaincy, it was due to a dressing room incident. During the match against Punjab Kings, he was spotted smoking a vape in the dressing room.

According to the rules and guidelines, it is prohibited for the players to smoke or vape in the dressing room. There are some areas where smoking is allowed, but Parag was not spotted there. Moreover, he was using a vape, which has been made illegal by the Indian government, and strict actions were thought to be taken against him.

But that didn't happen, as Rajasthan Royals have now been given a sign of relief. Riyan Parag has been fined just 25% of his match fees, and he would be available for Rajasthan Royals in their upcoming match against Delhi Capitals as well.
