Chucking allegations are not that common in modern-day cricket, but Cameron Green reminded of a bygone era in the second T20I against Pakistan in Lahore. The Australian all-rounder drew the attention of officials with his exaggerated mimicking of Usman Tariq’s action after getting dismissed.

‌Pakistan took an unassailable lead in the three-match T20I series with a massive 90-run win over Australiain the second T20I in Lahore on Saturday. Salman Agha and Usman Khan (53) powered the hosts to 198/5 after opting to bat first at the Gaddafi Stadium, with the skipper hitting eight fours and four sixes to top score for them with a 40-ball 76.

The home side followed up their excellent batting with a clinical bowling display to skittle out the visitors for just 108 in the 16th over. The leg-spinning duo of Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan picked up 3/14 and 3/26, respectively, with all the wickets being picked up by the slower bowlers.

However, it was Cameron Green’s actions that stood above the result, as he was unimpressed with Usman Tariq’s dicey bowling action. After being dismissed by the off-spinner in the 11th over, the Australian all-rounder did not hide his disappointment as he mimicked the spinner’s action while walking back.

The off-spinner took a lengthy pause before bowling a sling-arm delivery to get the batter caught at short cover. Unsurprisingly, the all-rounder extended his right arm to gesture about his controversial action. And the batter went out of his way to bend towards his right before exaggeratedly displaying the bowling action to the official on the sidelines.

Twitter was surprised at the timing of Green’s actions, as the batter could not hide his frustrations after the dismissal.
