With cricket returning to Olympics, the committee has also confirmed the four teams which will be a part of the tournament. The Women's T20 World Cup had its group stages coming to an end last night with the match between India Women and Australia Women.

Along with that, it also helped the IOC and ICC to confirm the four teams which will be participating in the tournament as the highest ranked teams. These have been confirmed to be India, Australia, Great Britain (which will be represented by England), and South Africa. All these teams have made it to the tournament being the highest ranked teams in their continent.

The other teams participating in the tournament will be finalised as the tournament dates come closer. Fans could expect other full member nations such as Pakistan, New Zealand, West Indies, and more to be a part of the tournament.

Our Take

With the LA Olympics, Harmanpreet Kaur will be getting yet another opportunity to prove herself as a captain for the India Women's team. While she has been the one to help India Women's team to win the World Cup, she has not managed to do well when it comes to the T20 World Cup. Still, it remains to be seen whether the Indian team will be looking at Harmanpreet Kaur as a future captain prospect or not.
