Twitter Reacts as Narendra Modi Stadium Set to Host 6th Cricket Final in 4 Years

Whenever India is hosting any major cricket event, the league stages are scheduled across several venues. It could be MA Chidambaram Stadium, Wankhede Stadium, HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, Eden Gardens, Chinnaswamy, and a lot more. But when it comes to the finals, there is one venue which has stood tall over the last few years.

And it is none other than the Narendra Modi Stadium. Even for the IPL 2026, the venue for the playoffs was not decided and Chinnaswamy Stadium stood as an option for the finals. But there were issues related to the MLA tickets, which put the stadium out of contention. Now, the finals of the IPL 2026 are also scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

This would mark the 6th major cricket final which will be played at this venue. Since the IPL 2022 season, this venue has hosted all the finals except the 2024 season. Along with that, it also went on to host the 2023 World Cup final and the 2026 T20 World Cup final.
