He Started IPL with a Hundred But Never Repeated It Again
Several players have shown promise by starting their IPL journey with a century. While many of them managed to bring more centuries later on, one of them was not able to do the same. And it was none other than KKR batsman, Manish Pandey.
The Indian Premier League is being looked at as the biggest stage in franchise cricket. We have seen various batsmen start the tournament with a century, making their debut look much promising. Brendon McCullum and Michael Hussey were among the first centurions of the tournament, but they managed to bring many more.
Still, there has been one player who started the IPL with a century but didn't manage to score another one in his entire career. This player is none other than Manish Pandey, who started the IPL with Mumbai Indians but went to RCB in the 2009 season.
Manish Pandey’s Only IPL Century
Manish Pandey brought up his century in his maiden IPL innings for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He played for Mumbai Indians in the inaugural season, but was unable to do well. So for the next season, he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. After missing a number of games, he played in the match against Deccan Chargers.
Opening with Jacques Kallis, Manish Pandey stayed till the end for the team. He went on to score 114 runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru off just 73 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes. With his innings, RCB was able to finish the game at the score of 170 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.

The team eventually went on to win the match also, as Deccan Chargers were only able to score 158 runs with the loss of 6 wickets. With RCB winning the game, Manish Pandey was able to win the POTM award for the team, as he scored a century. But unfortunately, that was his first and last IPL century, which also came on his debut game for RCB.
