Spencer Johnson, one of the overseas pacers at Chennai Super Kings, has recently talked about his time with the team. In the match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, he was able to make his debut for the team. Johnson grabbed a wicket and conceded 39 runs in four overs.

He has played for two other teams in the tournament before being a part of CSK. Having played for Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders, he recently compared the team environment of all these teams with Chennai Super Kings in a recent interview.

Spencer Johnson said, “I'm playing for probably the best franchise in the world, so just being here is a privilege. I'm not sure if you saw it on TV the other night but I was trying to smile and enjoy the game because it's a game that we all love & I love playing and playing for CSK is an unbelievable experience. It's challenging, but I wouldn't be anywhere else in the world.”

Our Take

Spencer Johnson is surely having some of the best times of his life with Chennai Super Kings. The team has shown immense love for its players, even at times when they are unable to give their best. As CSK plays its last home game today against Sunrisers Hyderabad, it remains to be seen how Spencer Johnson will be looking forward to contributing to the same.
