The Indian football team has slipped 10 spots to 107th position in the latest FIFA rankings despite winning the friendly tri-nation series against Mauritius. Now, India has 316 points which has forced them out of top 100 while Germany has replaced Brazil to claim the top spot.

The latest FIFA ranking ends Indian football team’s four-month stay in the top 100. After dropping 10 places, India are placed 107th among 211 countries.

Since the last rankings, India played friendly tri-nation series where they beat Mauritius 2-1 and drew 1-1 with St. Kitts and Nevis. In AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Macau, India emerged victorious by a score of 2-0 away from home.

Team India was ranked 171 before Stephen Constantine took charge of the side in February 2015 and the team continued to rise in the rankings with consistent performances. According to the rankings on May 4, India managed 100th position along with Nicaragua, Lithuania, and Estonia. It went up to 96th in July but had dropped to 97th in August.

In the last rankings India had 341 points but now they have 316 which cost them the ten spot drop on the list.

On the other side of the list, Germany dethroned Brazil to regain the No 1 position with 1606 points. Portugal, Argentina, and Belgium completed the top five spots.
