It is nice for me as a coach to see the players working really hard, says Carles Cuadrat

Bengaluru FC coach Carles Cuadrat has stated that he feels his boys are working even harder because they know him and he adds that as a coach that gives him immense pleasure. Bengaluru FC and Northeast United will face each other in the table topper clash today at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.

Bengaluru FC sit pretty on the top of the Indian Super League points table with 22 points from eight matches. Closely following them is the NorthEast United, who have secured 18 points in nine matches. The two teams will play each other tonight at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati from 7:30 IST. Bengaluru FC coach Carles Cuadrat has stated that since taking over the reins of the team he has followed the same philosophy followed earlier.

"I think we are keeping on with the same philosophy. We are quite similar in the footballing aspects. I can feel that the players are working even harder. Maybe because the players know me. I can feel that they are very committed in their defensive aspects and it is nice for a coach to see that," Cuadrat said.

The Northeast United has been one of the outstanding teams in the ISL this season which has helped in their points table position. Bengaluru FC face the Northeast United today and on the back of the encounter Cuadrat heaped praised on the club stating that they have grown as a team by leaps and bounds.

"I think that they are playing very well. We are happy that teams are making a step forward and growing as a club. All of their games, that I have seen till now, have shown that there has been a lot of work put into creating a competitive team. They have also been working very well in scouting, bringing in very talented players. So, I think it is a club that is developing a lot," he said.

Cuadrat also praised his team’s defender Rahul Bheke as he bagged the league’s outstanding player of the month award. Bheke plays at the right-back position for his team and his coach praised him for reading the game well and helping the team win the games.

"He is having a fantastic season and we are very happy with him. He is an excellent player and he is improving day by day. He is getting better not only in the physical aspect but also in reading the games. I am just happy with the way he is helping the team in getting results."
