After a remarkable tenure at Bayern Munich, where Franck Ribery won as many as 24 titles, the 36-year-old French international will embrace a new challenge in his career. After leaving Germany at the end of last season, the player will sign for ACF Fiorentina in a deal worth €4 million per year.

After leaving FC Bayern Munich as an icon, Franck Ribéry is close to signing for Italian Serie A club ACF Fiorentina. The 36-year-old already landed in Italy and is expected to sign a 2-year, €4 million deal with the Viola. It will be the 8th club that the Frenchman represents in his long and illustrious career.

This will represent a new challenge for a player that won 24 trophies for the Bavarian throughout his 12-year campaign at Munich. Ribéry took part in the 9 Bundesliga titles as well as the UEFA Champions League in 2013, a year that saw him finish third in the Ballon d'Or voting. He was named German Footballer of the Year in 2008, making him one of only five players to get such honour.

ACF Fiorentina is looking to secure a spot in the European competitions next season, as Ribéry represents another addition in terms of experience to the squad, along with Kevin-Prince Boateng and Milan Badelj.
