Kerala Blasters FC have brought in Brazilian centre-back Jairo Rodrigues to strengthen their back four ahead of the upcoming 2019 Indian Super League season. The Kerala-based franchise finished second from bottom last season as they only managed to register two wins from 18 games.

Great things were expected from Kerala Blasters FC ahead of the start of the 2018 but after a tough outing last year, the Blasters went ballistic while getting reinforcements for the approaching season. After getting highly-reputed coach Eelco Schattorie from NorthEast United FC, they have already got in Bartholomew Ogbeche, Mario Arques, Sergio Cidoncha, and Gianni Zuiverloon to strengthen their squad.

The Kerala-based franchise have moved quickly to rope in Brazilian centre-back Jairo Rodrigues to add some depth to their back four. Standing at 6 ft 3 in, Rodrigues will undoubtedly be a strong asset to Schattorie and the rest of the Blasters squad as they aim to bounce back from a disappointing 2018 season.

Recently, Nabeel Khan, Shabby Khan, Amanjot, Napoleon, Beckham, Gobinddas, Shiv Chaudhary, Lovepreet and Pawan Kumar, who are all graduates of the famed Chandigarh Football Academy and joined the academy in 2013 signed a five-year contract with Kerala Blasters’ junior squad.
