Lallianzuala Chhangte has stated that Delhi Dynamos FC defeated the FC Pune City by executing what they had learnt from the training sessions. Chhangte also said the team is in good spirits and although they had started winning a little late, everyone is understanding and trusting each other more.

Lallianzuala Chhangte has expressed that the Delhi Dynamos FC applied themselves on the field and exercised what they learned on the practice pitch in the game that helped the team gain three points from the match. The Indian footballer was adjudged the player of the match for his stunning performance that put the team in the front.

Chhangte opened the scoring in the 17th minute of the match against FC Pune City and got back into the scoresheet after missing a lot of chances this season. Chhangte netted a perfect cross from Romeo Fernandes to give Delhi Dynamos FC one-goal advantage. Romeo and Daniel Lalhlimpuia scored later in the game to hand FC Pune City a 3-1 defeat.

“I think everyone is understanding and trusting each other more. That is very important. Giving the ball, passing the ball around and we understand each other very well. The most important thing is applying what we learned at the training ground on the pitch. It’s very important. So, we did it today and earned a well-deserved win,” Chhangte told ISL official website.

“I’m very glad to be on the scoresheet again. Thanks to God. Of course, I’ve been missing a lot of chances this season, so I'm glad and I want to keep this going, scoring goals and assists. So, I will work hard and prepare for the next match."

Delhi Dynamos FC had once put themselves at the bottom of the table, but now they are ranked eighth overall and with no hopes of qualifying for the playoffs, the team is now aiming to finish as high as possible to directly qualify for the Super Cup that is scheduled to be played in March.

“This season we started winning a little bit late but the team is now gelling well. We even had some injured players. We understand each other and we are applying what the coach tells us outside the pitch. So, we have a great team spirit,” the midfielder proclaimed.
