Either play me or sell me, warns Arturo Vidal

As to what is reported by Marca, Arturo Vidal has demanded more playing time at Barcelona from coach Ernesto Valverde. He has fired an ultimatum to the former Real Betis coach to play him more often or allow him to leave the club. The report indicated that the Chilean wants to feel important and, should he not get that at Barcelona, he is not afraid about parting ways with the Catalan side.

The former Bayern Munich man wants to play a big part in the team, which involves getting regular minutes, but he will consider leaving the Camp Nou if he does if not featuring regularly.

“I would like to be here forever, but I have to be objective and live day to day. If in December or at the end of the season I do not feel important here, I will look for a solution and expand my horizons [in order] to be important,” said Vidal to Marca.

The 2015 Copa America winner also pointed at certain flaws that Barcelona have and insisted that the club needs to have more physical players in the middle of the park if they are to dominate games. The former Juventus man mentioned the Liverpool debacle and such a thing could have been avoided if Barcelona were physically more superior than Liverpool.

“One could say that everything is fine but, clearly, the team, to achieve our goals, to lift the trophy at the end of the season, has to improve a lot. We're on time. We have to begin giving the maximum, or working much more. The Champions League looks pretty tough. There are very strong teams. Liverpool already showed last year that they were physically superior,” concluded the Chile international.
