I-League CEO Sunando Dhar is hopeful that his team will play its home matches at the TRC ground in Srinagar in spite of the tension looming over the valley. Making their debut in the I-League last season, the ‘snow leopards’ drew more than 10,000 spectators on average in their home matches.

Real Kashmir FC has one of greatest stories in Indian football in recent times and they have also been playing some decent football of late. The David Robertson coached team was in the I-League title race for quite some time last season before finishing the season in third position.

With a few inclusions to the side, the ‘snow leopards’ have now geared up for yet another season. Even though the team is yet to fix their home ground, I-League CEO Sunando Dhar is optimistic that Real Kashmir FC will host their matches at the TRC Stadium in Srinagar like last year.

“At the moment, the plan is to have the matches in Srinagar. The experience last season was fantastic. We don't have to take that away, if we have the support of the state machinery. We had a discussion with the club and association and will hold a meeting with the government soon," said Sunando Dhar as reported by The Times of India.

The TRC Ground experienced regular attendance of over 10,000 in the last I-League and the atmosphere inside the stadium was surreal.
