FC Goa continued their preparation for the Indian Super League with yet another comprehensive win, this time against Kerala’s Santosh Trophy side. With the likes of Len Doungel, Kingslee, Jackichand Singh, and Lalawmpuia all getting on the score sheet, Goa went on to win 6-0.

FC Goa defeated the Kerala Santosh Trophy team 6-0 in a pre-season friendly at the Bambolim Athletic Stadium on Tuesday. Len Doungel, Kingslee, Jackichand Singh, Lalawmpuia all got on the scoresheet as Coro bagged a brace.

The Gaurs started with Coro upfront, as Doungel and Jacki flanked the Spanish striker. Carlos Pena and Mohamed Ali started in defence, with Nawaz between the sticks. It was Coro who set the ball rolling as Doungel ran on to his through ball and rounded the opposition keeper to score in an empty net.

Four minutes later, Kingslee Fernandes doubles FC Goa’s lead as he rolled the ball in after KFA keeper Sachin parried the ball onto his path. It was Coro who gave the Gaurs a 3-0 lead within 25 minutes as Saviour Gama’s ball reached him inside the box, leaving the Spaniard with a tap-in.

After Lobera made 2 changes at half-time, Doungel turned provider 12 minutes into the second half. It was his pin-point cross which found Jacki in the box. The Manipuri winger took it on the half-volley to extend the home team’s lead.

Coro then got his second of the night on the hour mark. Substitute Lalawmpuia (Opi) made it half a dozen for FC Goa as he tapped-in after fellow substitute Aaren D’Costa passed it to him with only the keeper to beat. The Developmental team players, on in the second half, ensured that FC Goa kept a clean sheet to see out the game.
