Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that the Old Lady are getting better under new head coach Maurizio Sarri and are adapting to his style of attacking football. Sarri replaced Massimiliano Allegri at the helm of Juventus after Allegri spent 5 trophy-laden seasons at the club.

English outlet the BBC has reported that Cristiano Ronaldo is happy with the progress Juventus are making under Maurizio Sarri. Sarri left Stamford Bridge after just one season and returned to Italy to coach the Old Lady. Juventus jumped to the top of Serie A after beating high-flying Inter before the international break. They retained their first place with a 2-1 win over Bologna this weekend with Ronaldo scoring the opening goal for Juve.

Juventus now prepare to face Lokomotiv Moscow in the UEFA Champions League at home and ahead of the game, the Portuguese forward has applauded Sarri for adopting an attacking style of play. The 34-year-old also insisted that the club is improving match by match and it will take time for them to truly hit top gear under the former Napoli boss.

“I like the way he wants the team to play, we are creating more opportunities. I think the team is getting better. We are getting more and more confident. We are playing a different brand of football, more attacking. I am happy with these changes,” said Ronaldo as told by BBC.

The former Real Madrid man has been in hot form this season scoring 12 goals in 13 games for club and the country this season. The 34-year-old also recently scored his 700th goal of his career while playing for Portugal against Ukraine. Ronaldo also said that the record his past him now and will look to achieve greater heights and help the club win more trophies.

“That is already in the past. I want to move on, reach new heights to help the team. I want to play and help the team win trophies. Of course, I am proud of the individual records but the priority is to win games for Juventus and Portugal,” concluded Ronaldo.
