FC Barcelona has finalized a contract extension for Robert Lewandowski, ensuring the striker stays for the 2025/26 season. The Polish forward, 36, remains La Liga top scorer and ranks second in the Champions League. Despite lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, Lewandowski opted to continue at Barcelona, where he has scored over 75 goals since joining in 2022.

For the 2025-26 season, FC Barcelona has finalized an agreement with Robert Lewandowski to extend his contract for another year, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Polish striker, who joined Barça in 2022 from Bayern Munich, has been a key player under both Xavi Hernández and current manager Hansi Flick. Despite being 36, Lewandowski remains Spain’s top scorer and ranks second in the Champions League goal charts.

His initial four-year contract included a clause that would automatically extend his stay if he played a set number of matches in the 2024-25 season. With his appearance against Rayo Vallecano next Monday, the clause will be triggered. However, reports suggest that Barcelona and Lewandowski have already agreed on a one-year extension beyond that.

Despite lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, Lewandowski has chosen to remain in Spain, where his family has settled, with his wife expanding her business in Barcelona. The club, meanwhile, is actively searching for his successor. Vitor Roque, originally seen as his replacement, was loaned to Real Betis due to underwhelming performances. Other potential options include Pau Víctor and Ferran Torres, who recently scored a hat trick in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals.
