Real Madrid have priced Rodrygo at £86 million (€100m) as Arsenal explore a potential transfer. The Brazilian forward has fallen out of favour, staying benched for five straight games, including the 4-0 Club World Cup loss to PSG.

After the Club World Cup semi-final loss to PSG, where Rodrygo remained an unused substitute for the fifth straight game, Real Madrid has made it clear they will only consider selling the Brazilian forward for offers exceeding €100 million (£86m). Once a key part of Real’s attack, Rodrygo has seen his role diminish under new manager Xabi Alonso, who has preferred other options. With Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. being the focal points of Real’s forward line, Rodrygo has struggled for game time and continues to fall out of favour.

Arsenal are reportedly tracking the situation closely and has initiated early talks with Rodrygo’s representatives. However, the Gunners may shift focus as they are also advancing in negotiations for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke. Personal terms with Madueke have already abeen greed for a five-year deal, and Chelsea are demanding £50 million for the English winger, who has seen limited action under Enzo Maresca.

Rodrygo prefers playing on the left wing, a spot firmly held by Vinicius Jr. at Real. Former manager Carlo Ancelotti used him on the right, but Xabi Alonso has not favoured him. While a transfer remains uncertain, Real Madrid’s valuation signals they won’t let the Brazilian leave cheaply.
