As the summer transfer window heats up, Barcelona are exploring the possibility of signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. With a reported asking price of €48 million, Barça are reluctant to pay the full amount up front due to financial constraints. Instead, they are working on a loan deal with an option to buy, a move that aligns with their short-term needs.

After missing out on Nico Williams and facing a complex and expensive pursuit of Luis Diaz, Rashford has become a more realistic and affordable target. The English forward, who still has a contract with United until 2028, is reportedly not in manager Ruben Amorim’s plans and has seen his prominence at the club diminish. Barcelona view Rashford as a strong addition who could provide reliable backup for Raphinha and Lamine Yamal without demanding a guaranteed starting role.

Rashford is also open to the switch, seeing it as a chance to revive his career at a top European club. The Catalan side is in no rush to conclude the deal and will continue to negotiate on their terms, aiming for a financially manageable solution. A successful loan deal would give them a proven winger without jeopardising their current budget.
